I'm a middle-aged father, and my daughter is 11. She loves reading, writing, and drawing. Ever since she was very little, I provided her with paper and crayons to draw with. The first time she visited Taiwan to see my mother, my mother was surprised that my daughter could sit alone, painting and reading by herself, unlike other kids who were always running around unable to sit still.
